Lang 372: Deep Dive Into Flash Fiction

Meets online via Zoom

10 week course, Mondays starting 9/18, 6:00-8:30pm

Writers new to flash fiction (short stories of 1,000 words or fewer) and those who have been writing flash for years will find a home in this generative workshop. Students will analyze craft elements integral to writing compressed stories by reading and discussing recently-published flash fiction, writing several new flashes based on weekly prompts, sharing in-progress pieces with the class, and giving/receiving peer feedback in a workshop setting. The instructor will also provide detailed written feedback on all written work.
